Partnership between Cahaba Brewing Co. & BCRFA crosses $300k milestone
Ten area cook teams and 1,000 BBQ enthusiasts got fired up in their support for lifesaving Alabama Breast Cancer research at CahabaQue on Saturday, October 12 at Cahaba Brewing Co. Organized by Cahaba Brewing Co and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA), teams competed for awards from both ten local judges who scored Best CahabButt and Best Sauce Categories and the People’s Choice awards determined by event attendees. This fall’s CahabaQue raised $23,000 for the BCRFA – all of which will be invested in top breast cancer research projects in Alabama.
“We love this event and our partnership with the BCRFA,” said Eric Meyer, Cahaba Brewing Co, COO. “Since CahabaQue began in 2013, we have helped the BCRFA fund over $300,000 in critical breast cancer research across Alabama. That wouldn’t be possible without all of our grill teams, sponsors, and the local community who come out to support this important cause.”
