Casino Night raises $92,000 for Breast Cancer Research in Alabama
March 22, 2019
More than 300 people united in the fight against breast cancer, while enjoying a night of charity gaming at the 11th Annual Pink Palace Casino Night. This annual fundraser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA) took place on Saturday, March 16th at Soirée Event Gallery in Hoover. Tameron Automotive Group once again served as the event’s presenting sponsor. By the end of the evening, $92,000 had been raised by the BCRFA to fund breast cancer research in Alabama.
“The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama does amazing work, helping raise money for breast cancer research,” stated Rob Gallik, general manager of Tameron Automotive Group. “Tameron is proud to partner and help put an end to this disease that affects one in eight women and one in one thousand men.”
Casino Night featured blackjack, poker, roulette, craps and slots for those wanting to try their hand at gaming. Others could participate in the silent auction including items such as vacation getaways, dining packages, jewelry and home furnishings. There was even a chance to win a $2,000 gift card from Diamonds Direct. Top that with great food from Kathy G, drinks from United Johnson Brothers of Alabama, AlaBev and Coca-Cola, and music from local band II da Maxx, and everyone had the makings for a fun night out, while raising money for the BCRFA.
The BCRFA takes a comprehensive approach to battling breast cancer through support of collaborative and innovative research to help diagnose, treat, prevent and eradicate the disease. All of the funds raised remain in Alabama, supporting local research, which in turn makes a national impact.
“Thanks to Tameron and all of our event sponsors, auction donors and bidders, and attendees, the Pink Palace Casino Night has grown into one of the largest fundraisers for the organization. Plans are already underway for Casino Night 2020,” stated BCRFA executive director, Beth Davis.
