Casino Night raises $75,000 for Breast Cancer Research in Alabama

Casino Night raises $75,000 for Breast Cancer Research in Alabama

April 14, 2018

The 10th Annual Pink Palace Casino on April 14th, presented by Tameron Automotive, benefitted the work of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA), raising $75,000 for breast cancer research in Alabama

The BCRFA takes a comprehensive approach to battling breast cancer through support of collaborative and innovative research to help diagnose, treat, prevent and eradicate the disease. All of the funds raised remain in Alabama, supporting local research, which in turn makes a national impact.

Guests enjoyed Vegas-style casino gaming featuring blackjack, poker, roulette, craps and slot machines. Winnings from the night were cashed in for a variety of great prizes. Guests placed their bets on high-rolling silent auction items, and over $3,000 was raised with donations for a chance to win a $2,000 Diamonds Direct gift card, and to stock a bar with high-end liquors.

Co-chairs for the event were Natalie Pilato Andrews, Anne-Michelle Barnett, Kim Comer, Jill Crawford, Vivian Weaver Davis, Diane Dudney, Kathy Emison, Veronica Jackson, Kathy G. Mezrano, Joyce Crawford Mitchell, Cheryl Morton, Leslie Passafiume, Mary Screws and Shaela Wise.

Many have been touched in some way by the disease, as one out of eight women are affected by breast cancer. Research is the key to finding new treatments and ultimately a cure for this disease. We appreciate each of the 205+ guests who joined the BCRFA  to help fund research and save lives.
